Motivation

Wood to Wheels (W2W) is driven by the need to re-imagine the transportation fuels infrastructure and turn down the carbon pump that will produce a 400% increase in CO2 by 2100 (assuming business as usual).  This program is focused on generating world-class discoveries and innovation leading to technology that forms the basis of new bio-fuel industry sectors. W2W spans the entire value chain and calls upon multiple disciplines to develop a comprehensive knowledge base of complex coupled natural / industrial / societal systems. This rich body of knowledge is being fashioned into new engineering education products for globally-aware, technically-advanced, and innovation-focused engineering graduates.
